How PerkMiner Works

How It Works For All PerkMiner Transactions:

1 - Member searches for and visits or contacts a Business of their choice.

First Option (Member physically visits the advertiser):


2A - Member notifies the Business that they're a Perk Miner Member before paying for the purchase.
2B - Member pays the Business directly for their purchase. ONCE PAID, THE TRANSACTION MUST BE FINALIZED (In person or remotely).
2C - Member clicks on "Show QR Code" to display the QR code and activate the finalization process. Member shows the QR Code to the Business, unless the transaction is finalized remotely.
2D - Business Owner or Staff Member is notified that they need to scan a QR code (Member’s name is shown) or finalize the transaction remotely.
2E - Both the "Scan Payment QR for (name)" button and the "My Active Sessions" button appear in the Business Dashboard (Business may have to refresh the page for the buttons to appear).
2F1 - Business clicks on the "Scan Payment QR code for (name)" button (using any mobile device), scans the QR Code, enters total paid by Member, then clicks "Finalize" to finalize the transaction.
2F2 - If business is finalizing the transaction manually (for later finalization in the event the transaction could not be finalized at the time of the initial purchase), the business clicks on "My Active Sessions" to access the "Finalize Manually" button and finalize the transaction.
2G - Business ad fee is deducted from Account Balance (Business must have enough in their Account Balance to cover the ad fee).
2H - Both the Member and Business are notified that the transaction has been recorded and they both see their instant cash back.
2I - Member clicks on "End session", then the Business ends session. Both can view earnings in their dashboard.

Second Option (Member Requests Service with secure messaging):


3A - Member clicks on the "Request Service" button. A new session begins between the Member and Business (The Member's info is protected).
3B - Member selects service type, enters description of service requested, budget, and then submits the request.
3C - Business is notified by email that their Business has been selected and reviews the service request in their dashboard.
3D - Both the Member and the Business click on "My Active Sessions" from their dashboard to view all active requests.
3E - Both the Member and Business select each other to start secure messaging — Member's privacy is protected until Member is ready to share contact info with the business.
3F1 - If Member decides not to proceed, they can "End Session" without sharing any further information (Business does not have access to Member's contact information).
3F2 - If Business decides not to proceed, they can also "End Session" without any penalty and without incurring any fees (Business does not pay anything for unfinalized leads).
3F3 - If Member decides to continue, they can share address/phone details with the Business (Member decides what information they want to give).
3G - Business can set appointments or schedule a service call with the Member without incurring any fees, unless the Business charges for service calls. If a Member pays any fees, THE TRANSACTION MUST BE FINALIZED.
3H - Business can send a quote before or after a visit (Quote includes a description of the service and amount) to be viewed by the Member for that active session only - Member must refresh the page to view the quote).
3I1 - If the Member decides not to proceed or accept the terms of the quote, they can "End Session" without a penalty. Business may also end the session without incurring any costs, unless the Member pays any amount.
3I2 - If Member agrees with the quote, they click "Accept & Pay" (QR appears at the top of the page) and pays the business directly for the service. ONCE PAID, THE TRANSACTION MUST BE FINALIZED BY THE BUSINESS.
3J - Member shows the QR code to the Business so they can scan the QR code. Business can also finalize the transaction remotely.
3K - Business is notified they have a QR code to scan (Business may have to refresh the page).
3L - Business clicks on "Scan QR to Finalize Payment" from their active session page (using any mobile device), scans QR code or manually finalizes, enters total paid by Member and clicks on "Finalize".
3M - Business ad fee is deducted from Account Balance (Business must have enough in their Account Balance to cover the ad fee).
3N - Both the Member and Business are notified that the transaction has been recorded and they both see their instant cash back.
3O - Member clicks on "End session", then Business ends session. Both can view earnings in their dashboard.
